So here we are, in the final stages of beta testing of the new blackjack.com software platform. When I say the final stages, what I really mean is the final stages of the testing of this iteration of the blackjack.com software platform. So far, the team has managed to roll out the membership (for that read user database), the blackjack game, slots, and video poker.

The blackjack game is particularly superb. Playing blackjack online in a multiplayer environment is in some respects superior to playing in a land-based casino. With the chat facility you get all the social aspects of the game, including the idiot who thinks you should play your hand in a certain way to suit him and who gets angry when you don’t play it the way he wants you to. Come on! Own up — it’s you! Anyway we have been monitoring the chat logs and those conversations do take place along with all the more congenial chat.

Another aspect which is proving particularly popular (thank God!) Is the membership levelling. We have definitely noticed a large proportion of members coming back daily in order to progress through the 200 levels which are currently available. What has been particularly noticeable is that occasionally because of the necessities of testing, the player levels are temporarily resets to 1. All I can say is that you are all very attached to the levels judging by the vociferous complaints. Just to be clear (and maybe to relieve some of the support staff) if you should find that your player level is one, it will be purely temporary.

I mentioned above “the current iteration” and whilst I can’t say too much about it at present I am quietly confident that existing members and all the new members to get each day will love what we got coming! Keep checking here and as and when I can reveal details I will.
